We’re Expanding! A New Harmony Women’s Care Location Is Coming to East Providence
We’re excited to share some big news: Harmony Women’s Care has officially signed the lease for a new satellite location in East Providence, Rhode Island!
This expansion has been a long-time goal for our team, and it’s rooted in one simple priority - making it easier for pregnant women to access high-quality, compassionate care.
Why East Providence?
Over the years, we’ve been proud to care for women from across Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts. One-third of our patients already come from the East Bay and southern Massachusetts area. We’ve heard, again and again, how challenging it can be for women to get to appointments in Providence.
With the Washington Bridge currently undergoing major repairs, traffic and travel times have become unpredictable and stressful. For many of our patients, what should be a short visit has turned into a long commute. We know that when it comes to making a decision about an unexpected pregnancy, added barriers can make a life or death difference.
Opening a location in East Providence allows us to improve access for patients on the East Bay, better serve women traveling from southern Massachusetts, reduce travel time and stress, and bring care closer to where our patients live and work.
What This Means for Our Patients
The new satellite location is about convenience without compromise. We will offer pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and STI testing and treatment, just as we do at our main location in Providence. All our services are offered at no cost, so women can access care with a personalized approach in a more accessible location.
What This Means for the Community
Harmony is excited to be connecting and partnering with many existing ministries, organizations, and churches in the East Bay. We know that there is already a vibrant community serving women and families at risk. We will be coordinating care and ensuring that our patients are connected to the many services available to her.
What’s Next?
We’re currently working on renovations, purchasing equipment and expanding staffing. We’ll be sharing more details soon! Our hope is to have the new office open this summer.
